Vortex Optics Venom 1-6×24 Second Focal Plane Riflescope: On a 6.5 Grendel 18″ upper, 300yrd and in, hog/white tail TX hunting set up.Clear glass, turret have positive clicks. Tracks good… Little heavy but not bad. Bright for 24mm. Nothing bad to say, not at this price (on sale – 224). It seems well built but if I have a problem with durability, I will modify the rating. So far, it’s reliable and it works well.
Kreal5000 –
This is the best option for the price by far. It is extremely impressive build quality, the reliability and the clarity of the glass when shooting is really good. Second focal plane seems to be a better option for targets within 200 yards. It has the ability to reach up to 500 yards with ease. If you are hunting over for 500 yards a first focal plane may be a better option for you. Hands down the vortex Venom is the best option available out of all the second focal plane scopes I’ve reviewed. Especially for home defense or hunting at distances within 200 or even 300 yards. If you find this on sale for under $300 it will be an excellent option to add to your collection. I highly recommend!
