I love this knife. Very small but handy, inexpensive, and effective. One push on the lock button to free the opening mechanism, then another push to flip the blade open with a spring assist. The blade automatically locks in the open position. Great for opening boxes, carefully slicing plastic packaging, and cleanly breaking tape seals on eIectronics boxes, etc. Then when done slide the button up and fold the blade at the same time – thumb and forefinger with one hand works with a little practice, and relock the button to keep the blade from opening.I have actually purchased 4 of these over the past 10 years since I like it so much. One of them was stiff and hard to operate and returned immediately, but the other 3 I’ve been carrying every day in rotation. Other than sharpening the blade periodically and deciding to remove the clip for personal preferences, all 3 work and look like new. If you put one thru the wash the jumbling can cause the blade to flip open.It may be on the small side but I’ve found the size to always be large enough. Usually it’s just the first half inch I need for the jobs I use this for. What I really love is that this is cheap enough that losing or breaking one isn’t a big financial concern, and then I decided I like it so much I bought extras.Highly recommended if you want a portable, inexpensive but quite functional pocket knife.

This is a very good buy for the money. It is a nice smooth blade made from reasonably good steel. It comes fairly sharp but is easy to put a really keen edge on it.The size and blade type make it versatile for many jobs. Slicing open packages or anything where a smooth sharp blade works well. The assisted opening feature is especially nice. It is as good or better than much more expensive knives I own from Kershaw or CRKT and several others. One just needs to start it opening with the thumb stud and it snaps open nicely. It is very difficult to get the knife not to open completely once started. There is also a button on the side of the knife that will either lock the knife from accidental opening in your pocket and is also necessary to push down on it to allow the knife to close once opened.I have read some negative comments about the button and the fact it and the handle is made from plastic but I have had zero issues with mine.Look at other similar knives and you will fine the bulk of them using some form of plastic in the handle, it just depends on the quality. Some can be extremely tough. The handle fits nicely in the hand so I can have a good grip. Because of this knifes specs I use it for relatively light duty. That is what it was made for, light to medium duty. It was not designed to be used as a survival knife.Remember this knife costs under $17 and has a nice assisted opening system and decent blade on it. I don’t know what more you can expect for the money.

I’ve been carrying this knife for about 6 months now, and have not had any desire to remove it from my EDC (except, of course, to get on a plane). It has risen to every challenge I have thrown at it: opening boxes, slicing fruit, cutting rope, opening more boxes, cutting string, slicing more fruit… you get the idea, I’m not very hard on my pocket knives. But I use it a lot, lots of opens and closes, and the opening and locking mechanisms are perfect, and the blade is still sharp (I’ve touched it up, but not really re-sharpened it).Update: I have been carrying this knife for a couple of years now. Every so often I trade it out for a different knife for a week or so, then clip it back in my pocket. It’s not perfect… The mechanism can get a little balky at times, the steel is not great, and it’s really small. Sometimes I want a straight blade without the serrations. However, when I carrry a straight blade for a while I eventually get in a situation where I need the serrated blade and miss it; when I carrry a larger knife in the city I want something smaller and less intrusive; and, even with my rather large hands, I miss the “FAST” mechanism, because most of the time it works beautifully. It’s inexpensive enough that I’ll only cry a little if I do lose it, and it does what I need getting done. So… It’s not perfect, but it turns out to be the best set of compromises for my EDC.
